Help Us Offer More Classes To More Residents
Dear Friends,
The Mt. Hope Learning Center hopes to recreate the success of last
year's Annual Fund Drive. With your help we can.
The Mt. Hope Learning Center provides a wide array of free educational
activities for children, teens, adults, and seniors. In 1998, the
Mt. Hope Learning Center and opened in a small storefront offering
free tutoring and classes for kids.
In response to growing demand, we acquired a large Federal period
house in a state of disrepair that over 600 volunteers and 130 businesses
transformed into the new, fully functioning Mt. Hope Learning Center.
Since moving into our new home in 2002, we have become an educational
and community focal point in the neighborhood.
Our curriculum is enhanced through the Learning Center's growing resources,
which include:
- Community library
- Computer labs
- Photography darkroom
- Arts & crafts studio
- Art & Photography Exhibits
- Music room
- Teaching Kitchen
- Sheltered deck area
- Reading room
- Conference room
As our community's educational needs grow, we continue to develop
relevant classes and special events. We offer a new session every
six weeks with new courses taught by our volunteer teachers. We appreciate
the commitment and involvement of our local politicians and we have
a strong relationship with local schools.
We value your support and welcome you to stop by for a visit. Your
donation will help us maintain and expand our great classes, cultural
activities and special events.
All donations are tax deductible. The Mt. Hope Learning Center
is a registered 501 [c] (3), non-profit corporation.
